Membership is open to anyone with any interest in roses. Since its founding by thirteen enthusiastic rose lovers in 1982, the Gold Country Rose Society (GCRS) has thrived and now has approximately 60 'households'.
The GCRS hosts a program meeting at the Rose Room in the Community Center on Lincoln Way in Auburn, the second Tuesday of every month, 6:00 PM, except July & August when the Rosarians retreat to their gardens and to their vacations. Guests are always welcome at these meetings. Most guests become members after one or two visits. To do this, simply sign up at one of the meetings. No one can remain a stranger in GCRS.
The GCRS publishes "Rose Nuggets", monthly, except for July & August. This newsletter is worth the price of membership. Additionally members receive a quarterly e-copy of the award winning NCNH District newsletter.
Membership dues are just $20.00 per household, annually, due January 1st. Note: If joining after January, the dues will not be 'prorated', however joining any time after Sept 1st will include membership for the rest of the current year, and the entire next year. Ask about "New Member Only" discount.
